حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نُوحِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ لِوَفْدِ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ النَّقِيرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمُقَيَّرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْحَنْتَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالدُّبَّاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْمُزَادَةِ الْمَجْبُوبَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَكِنْ اشْرَبْ فِي سِقَائِكَ وَأَوْكِهْ .

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وفد عبدالقیس سے فرمایا: میں تمہیں لکڑی کے برتن، تار کول ملے ہوئے برتن، سبز لاکھی گھڑے، تمبی اور کٹے ہوئے چمڑے کے برتن سے منع کرتا ہوں لیکن تم اپنے چمڑے کے برتن سے پیا کرو اور اس کا منہ باندھ کر رکھو ۔

English Translation

Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said to the deputation of Abd al-Qais: I forbid you the use of hollow stumps, vessels smeared with pitch, green harrs, pumpkins, and a skin cut off at the top, but drink from your skin and tie it with string.
