حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمُّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْكَيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَاكْتَوَيْنَا فَمَا أَفْلَحْنَ وَلَا أَنْجَحْنَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ وَكَانَ يَسْمَعُ تَسْلِيمَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا اكْتَوَى انْقَطَعَ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا تَرَكَ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ.

Urdu Translation

عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے داغنے سے منع فرمایا، اور ہم نے داغ لگایا تو نہ تو اس سے ہمیں کوئی فائدہ ہوا، نہ وہ ہمارے کسی کام آیا۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: وہ فرشتوں کا سلام سنتے تھے جب داغ لگوانے لگے تو سننا بند ہو گیا، پھر جب اس سے رک گئے تو سابقہ حالت کی طرف لوٹ آئے ( یعنی پھر ان کا سلام سننے لگے ) ۔

English Translation

Narrated Imran ibn Husayn: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbade to cauterise; we cauterised but they (cauterisation) did not benefit us, nor proved useful for us. Abu Dawud said: He used to hear the salutation of the angels: When he cauterized, it stopped. When he abandoned, it returned to him.
