حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنِي مَنْ أَقْرَأَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ مَنْ أَقْرَأَهُ مَنْ أَقْرَأَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لا يُعَذِّبُ سورة الفجر آية 25 ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ قَرَأَ عَاصِمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْأَعْمَشُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَطَلْحَةُ بْنُ مُصَرِّفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو جَعْفَرٍ يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْقَعْقَاعِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَشَيْبَةُ بْنُ نَصَّاحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَنَافِعُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الدَّارِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَمْزَةُ الزَّيَّاتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَتَادَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْحَسَنُ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُجَاهِدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحُمَيْدٌ الْأَعْرَجُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ لَا يُعَذِّبُ وَلَا يُوثِقُ إِلَّا الْحَدِيثَ الْمَرْفُوعَ فَإِنَّه يُعَذَّبُ بِالْفَتْحِ.

Urdu Translation

ابوقلابہ کہتے ہیں: مجھے ایک ایسے شخص نے خبر دی ہے   جسے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پڑھایا ہے یا جسے ایک ایسے شخص نے پڑھایا ہے جسے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پڑھا یا ہے کہ «فيومئذ لا يعذب» ( مجہول کے صیغہ کے ساتھ ) ہے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: عاصم، اعمش، طلحہ بن مصرف، ابوجعفر یزید بن قعقاع، شیبہ بن نصاح، نافع بن عبدالرحمٰن، عبداللہ بن کثیر داری، ابوعمرو بن علاء، حمزہ زیات، عبدالرحمٰن اعرج، قتادہ، حسن بصری، مجاہد، حمید اعرج، عبداللہ بن عباس اور عبدالرحمٰن بن ابی بکر نے «لا يعذب ‏ولا يوثق‏» صیغہ معروف کے ساتھ پڑھا ہے مگر مرفوع روایت میں «يعذب» ( ذال کے فتحہ کے ساتھ ) ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Qilabah: A man whom the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم made the following verse read informed me, or he was informed by a man whom a man made the following verse read through a man whom the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم made the following verse read: For, that day His chastisement will be such as none (else) can be inflicted (la yu'adhdhabu) Abu Dawud said: Asim, al-Amash, Talhah bin Musarrif, Abu Jafar Yazid bin al-Qa'qa', Shaibah bin Nassah, Nafi bin Abdur-Rahman, Abdullah bin Kathir al-Dari, Abu Amr bin al-'Ala, Hamzat al-Zayyat, Abdur-Rahman al-Araj, Qatadah, al-Hasan al-Basri, Mujahid, Hamid al=Araj, Abdullah bin Abbas and Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Bakr recited: For, that day His chastisement will be such as none (else) can inflict (la ya'adhdhibu), and His bonds will be such as none (other) can bind (wa la yathiqu), except the verse mentioned in this tradition from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. It has een read yu'adhdhabu with short vowel a in passive voice.
