Sunan Abu Dawood 5003 - General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَاشُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَدِّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يَأْخُذَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ مَتَاعَ أَخِيهِ لَاعِبًا وَلَا جَادًّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ:‏‏‏‏ لَعِبًا وَلَا جِدًّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَنْ أَخَذَ عَصَا أَخِيهِ فَلْيَرُدَّهَا ،‏‏‏‏ لَمْ يَقُلْ ابْنُ بَشَّارٍ:‏‏‏‏ ابْنَ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

Urdu Translation

یزید بن سعید رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: تم میں سے کوئی اپنے بھائی کا سامان ( بلا اجازت ) نہ لے نہ ہنسی میں اور نہ ہی حقیقت میں ۱؎ ۔ سلیمان کی روایت میں ( «لاعبا ولا جادا‏ ‏» کے بجائے ) «لعبا ولا جدا» ہے، اور جو کوئی اپنے بھائی کی لاٹھی لے تو چاہیئے کہ ( ضرورت پوری کر کے ) اسے لوٹا دے۔ ابن بشار نے صرف عبداللہ بن سائب کہا ہے ابن یزید کا اضافہ نہیں کیا ہے اور ( رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا، کہنے کے بجائے ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہا ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abdullah ibn as-Saib ibn Yazid: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: None of you should take the property of his brother in amusement (i. e. jest), nor in earnest. The narrator Sulayman said: Out of amusement and out of earnest. If anyone takes the staff of his brother, he should return it. The transmitter Ibn Bashshar did not say Ibn Yazid, and he said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said.
