Narrated Abdullah ibn Ghannam: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: If anyone says in the morning: O Allah! whatever favour has come to me, it comes from Thee alone Who has no partner; to Thee praise is due and thanksgiving, '! he will have expressed full thanksgiving for the day; and if anyone says the same in the evening, he will have expressed full thanksgiving for the night.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِسْمَاعِيل،‏‏‏‏ قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عنبسة،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ غَنَّامٍ الْبَيَاضِيِّ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ اللَّهُمَّ مَا أَصْبَحَ بِي مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ فَمِنْكَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ فَقَدْ أَدَّى شُكْرَ يَوْمِهِ وَمَنْ قَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ حِينَ يُمْسِي فَقَدْ أَدَّى شُكْرَ لَيْلَتِهِ .

عبداللہ بن غنام بیاضی انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس نے صبح کے وقت یہ دعا پڑھی «اللهم ما أصبح بي من نعمة فمنك وحدك لا شريك لك فلك الحمد ولك الشكر» اے اللہ! صبح کو جو نعمتیں میرے پاس ہیں وہ تیری ہی دی ہوئی ہیں، تو اکیلا ہے۔ تیرا کوئی شریک نہیں ہے، تو ہی ہر طرح کی تعریف کا مستحق ہے، اور میں تیرا ہی شکر گزار ہوں تو اس نے اس دن کا شکر ادا کر دیا اور جس نے شام کے وقت ایسا ہی کہا تو اس نے اس رات کا شکر ادا کر دیا۔
