Abu Qatadah reported on the authority of his father: the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said; When the Iqamah for prayer is pronounced, do not stand until you see me. Abu Dawud said: this has been narrated by Ayyub and Hajjaj al-Sawwaf from Yahya and Hisham al-Duatawa’i in a similar way, saying: Yahya wrote to me (in this way). And this has been narrated by Muawiyah bin Sallam and Ali bin al-Mubarak from Yahya: “Until you see me and show tranquility”.

مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْأَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَا تَقُومُوا حَتَّى تَرَوْنِي ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ وَهَكَذَا رَوَاهُ أَيُّوبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَجَّاجٌ الصَّوَّافُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَتَبَ إِلَيَّ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرَوَاهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَا فِيهِ:‏‏‏‏ حَتَّى تَرَوْنِي وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةَ.

ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب نماز کے لیے تکبیر کہی جائے تو جب تک تم مجھے نکلتے ہوئے نہ دیکھ لو کھڑے نہ ہو ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اسی طرح اسے ایوب اور حجاج الصواف نے یحییٰ سے روایت کیا ہے۔ اور ہشام دستوائی کا بیان ہے کہ مجھے یحییٰ نے یہ حدیث لکھ کر بھیجی، نیز اسے معاویہ بن سلام اور علی بن مبارک نے بھی یحییٰ سے روایت کیا ہے، ان دونوں کی روایت میں ہے: یہاں تک کہ تم مجھے دیکھ لو، اور سکون اور وقار کو ہاتھ سے نہ جانے دو ۔
