حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ نَزَلَتْ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ أُمِّ طَلْحَةَ الطَّلَحَاتِ فَرَأَتْ بَنَاتٍ لَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ إِنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ وَفِي حُجْرَتِي جَارِيَةٌ فَأَلْقَى لِي حَقْوَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ لِي:‏‏‏‏ شُقِّيهِ بِشُقَّتَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَعْطِي هَذِهِ نِصْفًا وَالْفَتَاةَ الَّتِي عِنْدَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ نِصْفًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنِّي لَا أَرَاهَا إِلَّا قَدْ حَاضَتْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ لَا أُرَاهُمَا إِلَّا قَدْ حَاضَتَا ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ هِشَامٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ.

Urdu Translation

محمد بن سیرین کہتے ہیں کہ   ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا طلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی والدہ صفیہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس گئیں اور ان کی لڑکیوں کو دیکھا تو کہا کہ ( ایک بار ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم تشریف لائے، میرے حجرے میں ایک لڑکی موجود تھی، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنی لنگی مجھے دی اور کہا: اسے پھاڑ کر دو ٹکڑے کر لو، ایک ٹکڑا اس لڑکی کو دے دو، اور دوسرا ٹکڑا اس لڑکی کو دے دو جو ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے ہاں ہے، اس لیے کہ میرا خیال ہے کہ وہ بالغ ہو چکی ہے، یا میرا خیال ہے کہ وہ دونوں بالغ ہو چکی ہیں ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: اسے اسی طرح ہشام نے ابن سیرین سے روایت کیا ہے۔

English Translation

Muhammad said: Aishah came to Sufiyyah Umm Talhat al-Talhat and seeing her daughter she said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم entered (into the house) and there was a girl in my apartment. He gave his lower garment (wrapper) to me and said; tear it into two pieces and give one-half to this (girl) and the other half to the girl with Umm Salamah. I think she has reached puberty, or (he said) I think have reached puberty. Abu Dawud said: Hisham has narrated it similarly from Muhammad bin sirin.
