Narrated Abu Rafi: Saeed ibn Abu Saeed al-Maqburi reported on the authority of his father that he saw Abu Rafi the freed slave of the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, passing by Hasan ibn Ali (Allah be pleased with them) when he was standing offering his prayer. He had tied the back knot of his hair. Abu Rafi untied it. Hasan turned to him with anger, Abu Rafi said to him: Concentrate on your prayer and do not be angry: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: This is the seat of the devil, referring to the back knot of the hair.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ رَأَى أَبَا رَافِعٍ مَوْلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَام وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي قَائِمًا وَقَدْ غَرَزَ ضَفْرَهُ فِي قَفَاهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَحَلَّهَا أَبُو رَافِعٍ، فَالْتَفَتَ حَسَنٌ إِلَيْهِ مُغْضَبًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ أَبُو رَافِعٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَقْبِلْ عَلَى صَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تَغْضَبْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ ذَلِكَ كِفْلُ الشَّيْطَانِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَعْنِي:‏‏‏‏ مَقْعَدَ الشَّيْطَانِ يَعْنِي:‏‏‏‏ مَغْرَزَ ضَفْرِهِ.

ابوسعید مقبری سے روایت ہے کہ   انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے غلام ابورافع رضی اللہ عنہ کو دیکھا کہ وہ حسن بن علی رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس سے گزرے، اور حسن اپنے بالوں کا جوڑا گردن کے پیچھے باندھے نماز پڑھ رہے تھے تو ابورافع نے اسے کھول دیا، اس پر حسن غصہ سے ابورافع کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے تو ابورافع نے ان سے کہا: آپ نماز پڑھئیے اور غصہ نہ کیجئے کیونکہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے: یہ یعنی بالوں کا جوڑا شیطان کی بیٹھک ہے ۔
