أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زُرَارَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى ،‏‏‏‏ خَالَفَهُمَا شَبَابَةُ فَرَوَاهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ.

Urdu Translation

عبدالرحمٰن بن ابزیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وتر میں «‏سبح اسم ربك الأعلى» پڑھتے تھے۔ شبابہ نے ان دونوں کی یعنی محمد کی اور ابوداؤد کی مخالفت کی ہے ۱؎ انہوں نے اسے شعبہ سے، شعبہ نے قتادہ سے، قتادہ نے زرارہ بن اوفی سے، اور زرارہ نے عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت کیا ہے۔

English Translation

Muhammad bin Al-Muthanna informed us, he said Muhammad said: Shu'bah narrated to us, he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Zurarah, from Abdur-Rahman bin Abza, that The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in witr: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High.'
