أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ النَّسَائِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ تُوُفِّيَ إِحْدَى بَنَاتِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اغْسِلْنَهَا ثَلَاثًا أَوْ خَمْسًا أَوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذَلِكِ إِنْ رَأَيْتُنَّ ذَلِكِ وَاغْسِلْنَهَا بِالسِّدْرِ وَالْمَاءِ،‏‏‏‏ وَاجْعَلْنَ فِي آخِرِ ذَلِكِ كَافُورًا أَوْ شَيْئًا مِنْ كَافُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا فَرَغْتُنَّ فَآذِنَّنِي قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ فَآذَنَّاهُ فَأَلْقَى إِلَيْنَا حِقْوَهُ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَشْعِرْنَهَا إِيَّاهُ .

Urdu Translation

ام عطیہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بیٹیوں میں سے ایک بیٹی کی موت ہو گئی تو آپ نے فرمایا: انہیں تین یا پانچ بار غسل دو، یا اس سے زیادہ اگر ضرورت سمجھو، اور انہیں بیر ( کے پتوں ) اور پانی سے غسل دو، اور کچھ کافور ملا لو، اور جب فارغ ہو جاؤ تو مجھے خبر کرو ، وہ کہتی ہیں: میں نے آپ کو خبر کیا، تو آپ نے ہماری طرف اپنی لنگی پھینکی اور فرمایا: اسے ( ان کے جسم سے ) لپیٹ دو ۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Umm 'Atiyyah said: One of the daughters of the Prophet died and he said: 'Wash her three times, or five, or more than that if you think that (is necessary). Wash her with water and lotus leaves and put camphor, or some camphor in it the last time. And when you have finished inform me.' We informed him, and he threw his waist-wrapper to us and said: 'Shroud her in it. '
