أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بَاعَدَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ جَهَنَّمَ مَسِيرَةَ مِائَةِ عَامٍ .

Urdu Translation

عقبہ بن عامر رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”جو اللہ کی راہ میں ایک دن کا روزہ رکھے گا اللہ تعالیٰ اس سے جہنم کو سو سال کی مسافت کی دوری پر کر دے گا“۔

English Translation

It was narrated from 'Uqbah bin 'Amir that the Messenger of Allah said: Whoever fasts one day in the cause of Allah, the mighty and sublime, Allah will separate him the distance of one hundred years from the fire.
