أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبِي أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أَبَا مُرَاوِحٍ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَهُ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَانَ رَجُلًا يَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ .

Urdu Translation

حمزہ بن عمرو رضی الله عنہ کا بیان ہے کہ   انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا وہ ایک ایسے آدمی تھے جو سفر میں روزہ رکھتے تھے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اگر چاہو تو رکھو، اور اگر چاہو تو نہ رکھو“۔

English Translation

Hamzah bin 'Amr narrated that he asked the Messenger of Allah, and he wsa a man who used to fast while traveling. He said: If you wish then fast, and if you wish then fast, and if you wish then do not fast.
