أَخْبَرَنِي عِمْرَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ يُونُسَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْبَطِينِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ عُثْمَانَ،‏‏‏‏ فَسَمِعَ عَلِيًّا يُلَبِّي بِعُمْرَةٍ وَحَجَّةٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ أَلَمْ تَكُنْ تُنْهَى عَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بَلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَكِنِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُلَبِّي بِهِمَا جَمِيعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمْ أَدَعْ قَوْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِقَوْلِكَ .

Urdu Translation

مروان بن حکم سے روایت ہے، وہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں عثمان کے پاس بیٹھا تھا کہ انہوں نے علی کو عمرہ و حج دونوں کا تلبیہ پکارتے ہوئے سنا تو کہا: کیا ہم اس سے روکے نہیں جاتے تھے۔ انہوں نے کہا: کیونکہ نہیں، لیکن میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ان دونوں ( حج و عمرہ ) کا ایک ساتھ تلبیہ پکارتے ہوئے سنا ہے، تو میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے قول کو آپ کے قول کے لیے نہیں چھوڑ سکتا۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Marwan bin Al-Hakam said: I was sitting with 'Uthan and he heard 'Ali reciting the Talbiyah for Umrah and Hajj (together). He said 'Were you not forbidden to do this?' He said: 'Yes, but I heard the Messenger of Allah reciting the Talbiyah for them together, and I will not igore what the Messenger of Allah said in favor of what you say.''
