أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَاصِمٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَدِمَ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَسْتَذْكِرُهُ:‏‏‏‏ كَيْفَ أَخْبَرْتَنِي عَنْ لَحْمِ صَيْدٍ أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ حَرَامٌ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ،‏‏‏‏ أَهْدَى لَهُ رَجُلٌ عُضْوًا مِنْ لَحْمِ صَيْدٍ فَرَدَّهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّا لَا نَأْكُلُ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ آئے تو ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے انہیں یاد دلاتے ہوئے کہا کہ آپ نے مجھے شکار کے گوشت کے بارے میں جسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ہدیہ کیا گیا تھا اور آپ محرم تھے کیا بتایا تھا؟ انہوں نے کہا: جی ہاں، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایک شخص شکار کے گوشت کا ایک پارچہ ( عضو ) بطور ہدیہ دیا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے لوٹا دیا اور فرمایا: ”ہم نہیں کھا سکتے، ہم احرام باندھے ہوئے ہیں“۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: Zaid bin Arqam came and Ibn Abbas said to him, reminding him: What did you tell me about the game meat that was given to the Messenger of Allah when he was in Ihram? He said: Yes, a man gave him a piece of game meat but he returned it and said: 'We cannot eat it, we are in Ihram.'
