أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ بَيْنَا رَجُلٌ وَاقِفٌ بِعَرَفَةَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِذْ وَقَعَ مِنْ رَاحِلَتِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَقْعَصَهُ أَوْ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَأَقْعَصَتْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ اغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا تُحَنِّطُوهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا تُخَمِّرُوا رَأْسَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَبْعَثُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّيًا .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی الله عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   ایک شخص عرفہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ کھڑا تھا کہ وہ اپنی سواری سے گر گیا اور اس کی اونٹنی نے اسے کچل کر ہلاک کر دیا۔ ( راوی کو شک ہے کہ ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے «فأقعصه» ( مذکر کے صیغہ کے ساتھ ) کہا یا «فأقعصته» ( مونث کے صیغہ کے ساتھ ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”اسے پانی اور بیر کی پتی سے غسل دو، اور اسے اس کے دونوں کپڑوں ہی میں کفنا دو، نہ اسے خوشبو لگاؤ، اور نہ اس کے سر کو ڈھانپو، اس لیے کہ اللہ عزوجل اسے قیامت کے دن لبیک پکارتا ہوا اٹھائے گا“۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Ibn Abbas said: While a man was standing in Arafat with the Messenger of Allah, he fell from his mount and it killed him. The Messenger of Allah said: 'Wash him with water and lotus leaves, and shroud him in two cloths. Do not apply aromatics to him or cover his head, for Allah, the Might and Sublime, wil raise him on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah.' .
