أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا جُوَيْرِيَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ نَافِعٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ وَسَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَاهُ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُمَا كَلَّمَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ لَمَّا نَزَلَ الْجَيْشُ بِابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَبْلَ أَنْ يُقْتَلَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَا:‏‏‏‏ لَا يَضُرُّكَ أَنْ لَا تَحُجَّ الْعَامَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّا نَخَافُ أَنْ يُحَالَ بَيْنك وَبَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَحَالَ كُفَّارُ قُرَيْشٍ دُونَ الْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَنَحَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَدْيَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَلَقَ رَأْسَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ عُمْرَةً إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْطَلِقُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ خُلِّيَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏طُفْتُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنْ حِيلَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ فَعَلْتُ مَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ سَارَ سَاعَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَإِنَّمَا شَأْنُهُمَا وَاحِدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ حَجَّةً مَعَ عُمْرَتِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمْ يَحْلِلْ مِنْهُمَا حَتَّى أَحَلَّ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ وَأَهْدَى .

Urdu Translation

نافع سے روایت ہے کہ   عبداللہ بن عبداللہ اور سالم بن عبداللہ بن عمر دونوں نے انہیں خبر دی کہ ان دونوں نے جب حجاج بن یوسف کے لشکر نے ابن زبیر رضی اللہ عنہما پر چڑھائی کی تو ان کے قتل کئے جانے سے پہلے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے بات کی ان دونوں نے کہا: امسال آپ حج کے لیے نہ جائیں تو کوئی نقصان نہیں، ہمیں اندیشہ ہے کہ ہمارے اور بیت اللہ کے درمیان کوئی رکاوٹ نہ کھڑی کر دی جائے، تو انہوں نے کہا: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ نکلے، تو کفار قریش بیت اللہ تک پہنچنے میں حائل ہو گئے، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( وہیں ) اپنی ہدی کا نحر کر لیا اور سر منڈا لیا ( اور حلال ہو گئے ) سنو! میں تمہیں گواہ بنا کر کہتا ہوں کہ میں نے عمرہ ( اپنے اوپر ) واجب کر لیا ہے۔ ان شاءاللہ میں جاؤں گا اگر مجھے بیت اللہ تک پہنچنے سے نہ روکا گیا تو میں طواف کروں گا، اور اگر میرے اور بیت اللہ کے درمیان کوئی رکاوٹ پیش آ گئی تو میں وہی کروں گا جو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کیا اور میں آپ کے ساتھ تھا۔ پھر وہ تھوڑی دیر چلتے رہے۔ پھر کہنے لگے بلاشبہ حج و عمرہ دونوں کا معاملہ ایک جیسا ہے، میں تمہیں گواہ بنا کر کہتا ہوں کہ میں نے عمرہ کے ساتھ حج بھی اپنے اوپر واجب کر لیا ہے۔ چنانچہ انہوں نے حج و عمرہ دونوں میں سے کسی سے بھی احرام نہیں کھولا۔ یہاں تک کہ یوم النحر ( دسویں ذی الحجہ ) کو احرام کھولا، اور ہدی کی قربانی کی۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Nafi that: Abdulla bin Abdullah and salim bin Abdullah bin Umar when the army besiged Ibn Az-Zubair before he was killed. They said: It does not matter if you do not perform Hajj this year; we are afraid lest we are prevented from reaching the House. He Sadi: we went out with the Messenger of Allah and the disbelievers of the Quraish prevented us from reaching the House. So the Messenger of Allah slaughtered his Hadi and shave his head. I ask you to bear witness that I have resolved to peform Umrah. If Allah wills I will set out and if I am allowed to reach the House I will circumambulate it, and if I am prevented from reaching the House I will do what the Messenger of Allah did when I was with him. Then he traveled for a while, then he said: They are both the same. I ask you to bear witness that I have resolved to perform Hajj as well as Umrah. And he did not exit Ihram for either until he exited Ihram on the Day of Sacrifice and offered his Hadi.
