Baab Hajj Ke Ehkaam O Manasik

أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَافَ سَبْعًا:‏‏‏‏ رَمَلَ ثَلَاثًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَشَى أَرْبَعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَرَأَ:‏‏‏‏ وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى سورة البقرة آية 125،‏‏‏‏ فَصَلَّى سَجْدَتَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَجَعَلَ الْمَقَامَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْكَعْبَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ اسْتَلَمَ الرُّكْنَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ خَرَجَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ فَابْدَءُوا بِمَا بَدَأَ اللَّهُ بِهِ .

Urdu Translation

جابر رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے طواف میں کعبہ کے سات پھیرے لگائے، تین پھیروں میں رمل کیا اور چار پھیروں میں عام چال چلے، پھر آیت کریمہ: «واتخذوا من مقام إبراهيم مصلى» پڑھی اس کے بعد مقام ابراہیم کو اپنے اور خانہ کعبہ کے درمیان کر کے دو رکعت نماز پڑھی۔ پھر آپ نے حجر اسود کا استلام کیا پھر نکلے اور آیت کریمہ: «إن الصفا والمروة من شعائر اللہ» ”صفا اور مروہ اللہ کی نشانیوں میں سے ہیں“ پڑھی تو جس سے اللہ تعالیٰ نے شروع کیا، اسی سے تم بھی شروع کرو“۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah performed Tawaf, walking rapidly (Raml) for three circuits, and walking at a normal pace for four. Then he recited: And take you the Maqam (place) of Ibrahim as a place of prayer. And prayed two Rak`ahs with the Maqam between him and the Ka`bah. Then he touched the Corner, then he went out and said: 'As-Safa and Al-Marwah are two of the symbols of Allah. We will start with that with which Allah started.'
