Jabir said: The Messenger of Allah said: Whoever has land, let him cultivate it or give it to his brother, and not lease it to him.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ لِيَمْنَحْهَا أَخَاهُ وَلَا يُكْرِيهَا . تَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ.

جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا:  جس کی کوئی زمین ہو تو وہ خود اس میں کھیتی کرے یا اسے اپنے بھائی کو دیدے اور اسے بٹائی پر نہ دے ۔ عبدالرحمٰن بن عمرو اوزاعی نے عبدالملک بن ابی سلیمان کی متابعت کی ہے  ( یہ متابعت آگے آ رہی ہے ) ۔
