It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: I formed a partnership with 'Ammar and Sa'd on the day of Badr. Sa'd brought two prisoners but 'Ammar and I did not bring anything.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ اشْتَرَكْتُ أَنَا وَعَمَّارٌ وَسَعْدٌ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ فَجَاءَ سَعْدٌ بِأَسِيرَيْنِ وَلَمْ أَجِئْ أَنَا وَلَا عَمَّارٌ بِشَيْءٍ .

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں عمار اور سعد رضی اللہ عنہما بدر کی لڑائی کے روز شریک  ( کار )  ہوئے تو سعد دو قیدی لے کر آئے، نہ میں کچھ لایا اور نہ ہی عمار کچھ لے کر آئے۔
