It was narrated from Ya'la that: he hired a worker who fought with a man and bit his hand, and his from tooth fell out. So he referred the dispute to the Prophet who said: Do you want to bite his hand as a stallion bites?

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَعْلَى. وَابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَعْلَى أَنَّهُ اسْتَأْجَرَ أَجِيرًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَاتَلَ رَجُلًا،‏‏‏‏ فَعَضَّ يَدَهُ فَانْتُزِعَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَخَاصَمَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيَدَعُهَا يَقْضَمُهَا كَقَضْمِ الْفَحْلِ .

یعلیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   انہوں نے ایک شخص کو نوکر رکھا، اس کی ایک آدمی سے لڑائی ہو گئی، تو اس نے اس کا ہاتھ کاٹ کھایا، چنانچہ اس کا دانت اکھڑ گیا، وہ اس کے ساتھ جھگڑتے ہوئے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آیا تو آپ نے فرمایا: ”کیا وہ اپنا ہاتھ چھوڑ دیتا کہ وہ اسے اونٹ کی طرح چبا جائے“۔
