أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي الصَّعْبَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي أَفْلَحَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زُرَيْرٍ الْغَافِقِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَهَبًا بِيَمِينِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَحَرِيرًا بِشِمَالِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَرَامٌ عَلَى ذُكُورِ أُمَّتِي .

Urdu Translation

علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے دائیں ہاتھ میں سونا لیا اور بائیں ہاتھ میں ریشم، پھر فرمایا: ”یہ میری امت کے مردوں پر حرام ہے“۔

English Translation

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Zurair Al-Ghafiqi said: I heard 'Ali say: 'The Messenger of Allah [SAW] took some gold in his right hand and some silk in his left hand and said: This is forbidden for the males of my Ummah.'
