أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَهُوَ ابْنُ آدَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ هُبَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏سَمِعَهُ مِنْ عَلِيّ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَلْقَةِ الذَّهَبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنِ الْمِيثَرَةِ الْحَمْرَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنِ الثِّيَابِ الْقَسِّيَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنِ الْجِعَةِ شَرَابٌ يُصْنَعُ مِنَ الشَّعِيرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْحِنْطَةِ . وَذَكَرَ مِنْ شِدَّتِهِ خَالَفَهُ عَمَّارُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ رَوَاهُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ صَعْصَعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَلِيٍّ.

Urdu Translation

علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سونے کے چھلوں، سرخ زین، ریشمی کپڑے اور جعہ سے منع فرمایا، جعہ ایک قسم کی شراب ہے جو جو اور گیہوں سے بنائی جاتی ہے۔ اور راوی نے اس کی شدت ( تیزی ) کا ذکر کیا۔ ( ابوعبدالرحمٰن نسائی کہتے ہیں: ) عمار بن رزیق نے اس حدیث کو زہیر کے برخلاف ابواسحاق سے، ابواسحاق نے صعصعہ سے، اور صعصہ نے علی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کیا ہے۔

English Translation

Ali said: The Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade gold rings, red Al-Miyathir, Qassiyah garments and Al-Ji'ah, which is a drink made from barley and wheat. - And he mentioned its strength.
