Baab Zeenat O Araish Ke Ehkaam O Masail

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قِرَاءَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ رَأَى فِي يَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ يَوْمًا وَاحِدًا فَصَنَعُوهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَبِسُوهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَطَرَحَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَطَرَحَ النَّاسُ .

Urdu Translation

انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ہاتھ میں چاندی کی ایک انگوٹھی ۱؎ صرف ایک دن دیکھی، تو لوگوں نے بھی بنوائی اور اسے پہنا، پھر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پھینک دی تو لوگوں نے بھی پھینک دی۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Anas that: He saw a ring of silver on the hand of the Messenger of Allah [SAW] one day, and the people made and wore similar rings. Then the Prophet [SAW] threw his ring away and the people threw their rings away too.
