Baab Namaz Shuru Kerne Ke Ehkaam O Masail

أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْمِقْسَمِيُّ قال:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ذَرٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ سَجَدَ فِي ص وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَجَدَهَا دَاوُدُ تَوْبَةً وَنَسْجُدُهَا شُكْرًا .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہم سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سورۃ «ص» میں سجدہ کیا، اور فرمایا:  داود علیہ السلام نے یہ سجدہ توبہ کے لیے کیا تھا، اور ہم یہ سجدہ  ( توبہ کی قبولیت پر )  شکر ادا کرنے کے لیے کر رہے ہیں ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn Abbas that: The Prophet (ﷺ) prostrated in Sad and said: Dawud did this prostration in repentance and we do it in thanksgiving.
