حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ الْعِجْلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِنَّمَا وَجْهُنَا وَاحِدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا قُبِضَ نَظَرْنَا هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا .

Urdu Translation

ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے، تو ہم سب ایک رخ تھے، لیکن جب آپ کا انتقال ہو گیا تو پھر ہم ادھر ادھر دیکھنے لگے۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Ubayy bin Ka’b said: “We were with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and we all had a single focus, but when he passed away we started to look here and there (i.e., have different interests).”
