It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah used to appear before the people during the Hajj season and say: 'Is there any man who can take me to his people, for the Quraish have prevented me from conveying the speech (i.e. the Message) of my Lord.'

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُغِيرَةِ الثَّقَفِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْسَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَعْرِضُ نَفْسَهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ فِي الْمَوْسِمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ أَلَا رَجُلٌ يَحْمِلُنِي إِلَى قَوْمِهِ فَإِنَّ قُرَيْشًا قَدْ مَنَعُونِي أَنْ أُبَلِّغَ كَلَامَ رَبِّي .

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم حج کے دنوں میں اپنے آپ کو لوگوں کے سامنے پیش کرتے اور فرماتے: کیا کوئی ایسا شخص نہیں ہے جو مجھے اپنی قوم میں لے جائے؟ اس لیے کہ قریش نے مجھے اپنے رب کے کلام کی تبلیغ سے روک دیا ہے ۱؎۔
