Abdur-Rahman bin 'Abdullah narrated from his father that: The Prophet said: May Allah cause his face to shine, the man who hears a Hadith from us and conveys it, for perhaps the one to whom it is conveyed may remember it better than the one who (first) hears it.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَضَّرَ اللَّهُ امْرَأً سَمِعَ مِنَّا حَدِيثًا فَبَلَّغَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَرُبَّ مُبَلَّغٍ أَحْفَظُ مِنْ سَامِعٍ .

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ اس شخص کو تروتازہ رکھے جس نے میری کوئی حدیث سنی اور اسے دوسروں تک پہنچا دیا، اس لیے کہ بہت سے وہ لوگ جنہیں حدیث پہنچائی جاتی ہے وہ سننے والوں سے زیادہ ادراک رکھنے والے ہوتے ہیں ۔
