حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ كَانَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَحْسَنُوا اسْتَبْشَرُوا،‏‏‏‏ وَإِذَا أَسَاءُوا اسْتَغْفَرُوا .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرمایا کرتے تھے: «اللهم اجعلني من الذين إذا أحسنوا استبشروا وإذا أساءوا استغفروا» اے اللہ مجھے ان لوگوں میں سے بنا دے جو نیک کام کرتے ہیں تو خوش ہوتے ہیں، اور جب برا کام کرتے ہیں تو اس سے استغفار کرتے ہیں ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from 'Aishah that : the Prophet (saas) used to say: Allahum-maj'alni minal-ladhina idha ahsanu istabsharu, wa idha asa'u istaghfaru (O Allah, make me one of those who, if they do good deeds, they rejoice, and if they do bad deeds, they seek forgiveness).
