Sunan Ibn Majah 4025 - Tribulations

Baab Ehwaal E Qayamat, Riqat E Qalb Aur Wara

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ وَهُوَ يَحْكِي نَبِيًّا مِنَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ ضَرَبَهُ قَوْمُهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَهُوَ يَمْسَحُ الدَّمَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ،‏‏‏‏ وَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِقَوْمِي فَإِنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   گویا میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھ رہا ہوں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم انبیاء کرام ( علیہم السلام ) میں سے ایک نبی کی حکایت بیان کر رہے تھے جن کو ان کی قوم نے مارا پیٹا تھا، وہ اپنے چہرے سے خون پونچھتے جاتے تھے، اور یہ کہتے جاتے تھے: اے میرے رب! میری قوم کی مغفرت فرما، کیونکہ وہ لوگ نہیں جانتے ۱؎۔

English Translation

It was narrated that ‘Abdullah said: “It is as if I can see the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), telling us the story of one of the Prophets: ‘His people beat him, and he was wiping the blood from his face and saying: “O Lord forgive my people, for they do not know.’”
