Baab Jannat Ka Wasf Aur Is Ki Naimaton Ka Tazkira

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ شُرَيْحٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَعْدٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فِينَا سِتَّةٍ فِيَّ وَفِي ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَصُهَيْبٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَمَّارٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَالْمِقْدَادِ،‏‏‏‏ وَبِلَالٍ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْ قُرَيْشٌ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّا لَا نَرْضَى أَنْ نَكُونَ أَتْبَاعًا لَهُمْ فَاطْرُدْهُمْ عَنْكَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَدَخَلَ قَلْبَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ،‏‏‏‏ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ:‏‏‏‏ وَلا تَطْرُدِ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ سورة الأنعام آية 52.

Urdu Translation

سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   یہ آیت «ولا تطرد» ہم چھ لوگوں کے بارے میں نازل ہوئی: میرے، ابن مسعود، صہیب، عمار، مقداد اور بلال رضی اللہ عنہم کے سلسلے میں، قریش کے لوگوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کہا کہ ہم ان کے ساتھ بیٹھنا نہیں چاہتے، آپ ان لوگوں کو اپنے پاس سے نکال دیجئیے، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے دل میں وہ بات داخل ہو گئی جو اللہ تعالیٰ کی مشیت میں تھی تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ آیت نازل کی: «ولا تطرد الذين يدعون ربهم بالغداة والعشي يريدون وجهه» اور ان لوگوں کو مت نکالئے جو اپنے رب کو صبح و شام پکارتے ہیں، وہ اس کی رضا چاہتے ہیں ( سورۃ الأنعام: ۵۲ ) ۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Sa’d said: “This Verse was revealed concerning us six: Myself, Ibn Mas’ud, Suhaib, ‘Ammar, Miqdad and Bilal. The Quraish said to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): ‘We do not want to join them, send them away.’ Thoughts of that entered the heart of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as much as Allah willed, then Allah revealed: “And turn not away those who invoke their Lord, morning and afternoon seeking His Face. You are accountable for them in nothing, and they are accountable for you in nothing, that you may turn them away, and thus become of the unjust.” [6:52]
