It was narrated from Anas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is never any obscenity in a thing, but it mars it, and there is never any modesty in a thing, but it adorns it.”

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ،‏‏‏‏ أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَنَسٍ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا كَانَ الْفُحْشُ فِي شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا شَانَهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَلَا كَانَ الْحَيَاءُ فِي شَيْءٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا زَانَهُ .

انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: بےحیائی جس چیز میں بھی ہو اس کو عیب دار بنا دے گی، اور حیاء جس چیز میں ہو اس کو خوبصورت بنا دے گی ۔
