It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed said: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘There is no prayer for the one who does not recite in every Rak’ah: Al-Hamd (Al-Fatihah) and a Surah whether in an obligatory prayer or another.’”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفُضَيْلِ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ جَمِيعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ السَّعْدِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ بِالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسُورَةٍ فِي فَرِيضَةٍ أَوْ غَيْرِهَا .

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس شخص کی نماز نہیں جو فرض و نفل کی ہر رکعت میں «الحمد لله» اور کوئی دوسری سورت نہ پڑھے ۔
