Laylat al Qadr is expected on 9th May 2021 in Pakistan. As we know that Laylatul Qadr is also known as Night of Decree and it is one of the odd nights in the last ten days of Ramadan. According to the Gregorian calendar in 2021 Shab e Qadr will be on 9th May but the accurate date depends on the sighting of Moon. In Pakistan, Bangladesh, and India and in different countries Muslims celebrate the night of power on May 9, 2021.
Laylatul Qadr is also famous as the night of power, the night of decree, Night of measure or Shab e Qadr. It is one of the sacred nights in the holy month of Ramadan and its importance can be measured through that Allah devotes a complete Surah on this night named Surah Al Qadr in Holy Quran. The importance of Laylat al Qadr can be emphasis with this Hadith of Holy Prophet Peace be Upon Him that narrates by Abu Hurairah (R.A) that, “Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven”. – Sahi Bukhari
Laylat al Qadr or Laylatul Qadr is also a significant night for Muslims because Allah sent down the Holy Quran on this night from heaven. As it’s also mention in the verses of Quran that in verse 1 of Surah Qadar Allah state that “Indeed we sent the Quran down in the Night of Decree”.
Worship on the auspicious night of power or Shab e Qadr is so precious because Allah says in verse 3 of Surah Al-Qadar in Quran that “The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months”.
The Laylat al Qadr (Laylatul Qadr) or Night of Power falls on odd nights of the last week of Ramadan but it has mostly been highlighted that it is most expected to be the 27th night of Ramadan. Muslims believe that on this night the endowments and kindness of Allah are plenteous and sins are pardoned so mostly they perform extra nawafils, recite Holy Quran and make dua for others the whole night.
