13 Rajab or Youm e Ali date has a key significance in Islam. The day is associated with the birth of Hazrat Ali (Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him). He was the companion, son-in-law, and cousin of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). He married Bibi Fatimah Al Zahra (Blessings of Allah Be Upon Her). His sons Hazrat Imam Hassan (Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him) and Hazrat Imam Hussain (Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him). In addition, he was also the fourth Rightly Guided Caliph of Islam. This is month of Rajab that is filled with lots of great event. One of the greatest event of Rajab is the Yom e Ali. Birth of Mola Ali (as). He was the bravest yet the kindest Muslim leader in the Islamic histoy. Mola Ali(as) was born inside the Kaaba in Makkah. The great historian Masudi, Herodotus of the Arabs, writes on page 76 of volume II of his book Muruj al-Dhahab (Golden Field) that the greatest distinction Ali had was that he was born God's house. We are going to celebrate this day as per our rituals this year too.
