Ingredients
  1. 1 ½ lb. lamb
  2. 2 large onions
  3. 2 cloves garlic
  4. 1-inch fresh root ginger 2 tomatoes
  5. Oil for frying
  6. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon chilli powder 1 teaspoon garam masala
  7. 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  8. 2 tablespoons yoghurt salt to taste
  9. 1 lb. cauliflower
  10. ¼ teaspoon garam masala
  11. Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Method
  • Cut the meat into 4-inch pieces. Mince together the onion, garlic and ginger chop tomatoes. Heat some oil in a large pan and fry the onion, garlic and ginger together with the tomatoes, turmeric, chilli powder, garam masala and ground coriander. Fry till the mixture turns a deep brown and the oil separates. Add the meat and fry for five minutes.
  • Beat the yoghurt, add to the meat with salt and cook gently for 25 minutes. Cut the cauliflower into sprigs and add to the meat. Simmer for 20 minutes until both cauliflower and meat are tender. Sprinkle with garam masala, corriander leaves, and onion rings before serving. Serve with plain boiled rice.
