Ingredients
  1. 1 cup Green Moong Daal
  2. 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  3. 2 tsp Oil
  4. 1 tsp Clarified Butter
  5. 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  6. 1" Ginger, very finely chopped
  7. 3 Green Chillies slit in the middle
  8. 2 Onions, finely sliced
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Fresh Coriander, finely chopped, to garnish
Method
  • Wash and soak daal for 30 min. and pressure cook with 1/4 tsp turmericpowder till it is soft. Heat oil and ghee in a heavy pan and splutter cumin seeds, then put ginger, green chillies and onion. When the onion is soft and cooked, put the daal and adjust salt. Add a cup or two of water so that the consistency is not too thin nor too thick. Chop fresh coriander leaves and add before serving.
