Ingredients
  1. 8 oz. gram flour
  2. ½ - teaspoon chilli powder
  3. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  4. ½ teaspoon ground coriander seeds
  5. Salt to taste
  6. ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  7. Water to mix
  8. 4 oz. potatoes
  9. 1 aubergine
  10. Few spinach, cabbage or spring green leaves oil for deep frying
Method
  • Sieve the flour, chilli powder, turmeric, coriander, salt and baking powder into a mixing bowl. Add sufficient water to make a thick batter. Cut the vegetables into thin slices, dip them in the batter and deep fry in hot oil until crisp.
  • Note: Preparation time 10 minutes, Cooking time . 5 minutes, To serve 4
