Ingredients
  1. Chicken                1/2kg
    Ginger garlic chopped 2tbsp
    Star anise 2
    White pepper powder 1/2tsp
    Crushed black pepper 1tsp
    Soya sauce 1/2cup
    Brown sugar 4tbsp
    Vinegar                2tbsp
    Homey 1tbsp
    Corn flour 1tbsp
    Chinese salt 1/2tsp
    Oil 1-2tbsp
    Salt as required
Method
  • Boil the chicken with 2tbsp ginger garlic paste , water and 2 star anise
    Ina  mixing bowl combine together  1/2tsp white pepper powder,1/2tsp crushed black pepper,1/2cup soya sauce, 4tbsp brown sugar, 2tbsp vinegar, 1tbsp honey, 1/3tsp Chinese salt, 1-2tbsp oil and salt as required
    Add the prepared mixture to the chicken and cook until tender. Mix the corn flour in water and add to the chicken stirring continuously. Cook until the mixture thickens
    Transfer to a  dish  and serve with  fried rice
