Ingredients
  1. 1) Dasheen (arwi) 1/2 kg (large)
  2. 2) Turmeric powder powder 1 tsp
  3. 3) Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  4. 4) Fenugreek seeds (methi) 6
  5. 5) Nigella seeds (kalonji) 1/4 tsp
  6. 6) Salt to taste
  7. 7) Oregano seeds (ajwain) 1/4 tsp
  8. 8) Green chilies 3
  9. 9) Curry leaves 4
  10. 10) Lemons 3
  11. 11) Dalda or your choice of cooking oil 1/2 cup
Method
  • 1. Boil and peel the dasheen. Mix all the spices in it and leave for half an hour.
  • 2. Then heat oil in a pan and put in curry leaves.
  • 3. Stir for 30 seconds, add marinated dasheen, squeeze lemon on it and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
  • 4. Lower the heat and cover. When completely dry.
  • 5. Stir again for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and serve.
