Mansion Royale
French nation is one of the most developed and wealthy nation. Mostly the
people of French ancestors have manors and treasure of gold coins and gems.
Once in olden times French bourgeoisies construct an enormous manor which
they named it as Mansion Royale. This manor has sloped roofs dyed with red.
There were numerous windows and two big pillars with bells on both sides of
house. There was an immense garden which has bushes of black thorny roses.
After that French bourgeoisies left the manor and send it to a noble Italian
family known as Hewitt family. Thus the family lives there for six years
happily but their seventh year was not quite good.
It was a cloudy morning and it was forecasted rain today. I and Dylan were
sitting on our round table, grabbing a mug of hot tea, looking outside of
window. After few minutes it started drizzling. ‘Guys, Marie entered into
the room with an un-known excitement, Inspector Smith is here to meet us’,
and Marie completed her sentence. ‘Let him sit, we are just coming’, said
Dylan. Inspector Smith was our teacher and we are now detectives because of
him. So, we entered into the room where Inspector Smith was sitting. We
shook hand with him and ask the reason of coming. He was looking little
worried. ‘Is everything alright sir’ I asked. ‘Actually not, replied
Inspector Smith, Have you heard about Mansion Royale’. ‘Are you talking
about that big house in the country side’, said Marie anxiously. ‘Yes, you
are right, said Inspector Smith, the Owner of the manor Mr. James Hewitt has
committed suicide and the situations of the house have gone worst’. It was a
very bad news. Mansion Royale was one of the famous manors of the Italy.
‘The son of Mr. Hewitt request to visit the manor and look into the matter
because the family has said that Mr. James was a cheerful person and he love
his life, how can he commit suicide’ said Inspector Smith. It was a great
opportunity for us to solve the mystery of Mansion Royale so we accept the
request and planned to visit Mansion Royale.
Mansion Royale was at the country side, so it took munch time to reach
there. At last we reach there. The manor was too beautiful that cannot be
described in words. Its red color was making it more attractive. The gate
keeper opened the gate and we entered in the house. ‘Welcome, welcome to the
Mansion Royale, a 45 aged, well-dressed man with a red face and white side
whiskers and an exceedingly wide friendly smile greet us, I am Eliphaz
Hewitt, elder son of Mr. James Hewitt’. ‘It’s pleasure to meet you’ said
Dylan. The behavior of Eliphaz was condescension. There was a 9ft tall door
which was opened slowly. A red precious rug was laid on the wooden floor.
There was ancient designing on the glasses of windows. Red velvet curtains
are increasing the beauty of the house. Bunch of antirrhinums were also
placed on the pleasing vases. ‘Can we investigate Mr. James Hewitt’s room’,
asked Marie. ‘Of course, follow me’ said Eliphaz.
The police stripes had bound the room badly. There was a wooden rocking
chair and some few drops of blood on the floor on the left hand of the
chair. The dead body of Mr. James Hewitt was gone for postmortem. All the
things were disturbed in the room. Vases were broken. Mostly all the things
were fallen on the ground. Drawers were badly checked and some were left
un-closed. Abruptly a young boy wearing jeans and white shirt entered the
room and screamed ‘Who are you people? Get out of my father’s room’. The boy
behavior was very foreboding. Eliphaz started to console him and tried to
take him out of the room. ‘Actually, he is my younger brother, Ethan Hewitt.
Death of father is a great stroke to him. He was very attached to him,
that’s why his behavior was ill’ Eliphaz apologized.
We came down the stairs from Mr. Hewitt room. Soon the sun sets and dark
clouds began to come over the sky engulfing the moon. The moon fought to
give its light to the world, but the thick, dark blanket enveloped the sky.
Eliphaz invite us on a coffee and we sat on the dining table. A pretty girl
served us a hot coffee. ‘I am Abira, Younger daughter of Mr. Hewitt’ the
girl introduced herself. She has brown hairs and wearing elegant clothes.
‘How many siblings you are?’ I asked instantly. ‘We are four siblings, there
is our another sister, Elisa, answered Eliphaz, She marry against our father
wish and that’s why we don’t have any good relations with her’. ‘This means
that she was one of your father’s enemies’ Dylan said thinking something.
‘Perhaps, it would be’ Eliphaz was not quite sure. ‘Is this coffee?’ I asked
wanting to get me sure. ‘It is, I am quite an addict. Coffee, chocolate and
the occasional cigar are all that I can call sins, Eliphaz said. ‘Same case
here man’ I whispered. After that we took dinner which includes many Italian
dishes like Bruschetta and different kinds of pasta. ‘Why you people don’t
believe that Mr.Hewitt can commit suicide?’ asked Dylan. ‘He can’t he was a
very contented person, I don’t think he had ever think of death even in his
dreams, replied Eliphaz, Come I should show your room’. Promptly a man came
in the hall running. He was badly exhausted and was sweating. ‘Charlie, what
are you doing here? Is everything alright’ asked Elipaz. ‘No, no, I haven’t
done anything, it is a intrigue’ he said instantly and ran away in the rain
out of the house leaving the door un-closed. The behavior of that man was
suspicious. ‘I am so sorry, said Eliphaz, he was our servant till the
father’s death but after the incident Ethan fired him, I don’t know why?’
Thomas the servant guided us to our room. The manor was so tremendous that
anyone can get easily lost. Four beds were there with woolen blankets. The
rain was clattering on our window. A large rug covered the floor and a fire
burned brightly in the small fireplace. ‘Don’t worry about the weird noises
you may hear. There are many owls and foxes outside’ Thomson told us and
with that he bowed politely and stepped out of the room closing the door
behind. Well, till now nothing was explained now we have to just wait for
postmortem report. Soon we left the world and were dreaming. A sudden noise
makes Dylan awake. He stepped out of room to check out for the voices. These
voices were coming from Mr. James’s room. He entered into the room. It was
quite dark. Some things were misplaced and broken. When Dylan glanced at the
curtain, it moves slightly. Dylan was just going to see it. ‘What are you
doing here?’ Abira entered the room. ‘Nothing, I hear some noise here…’ said
Dylan. ‘Don’t care about it, it would be wind or birds outside’ interrupted
Abira. Dylan anxiously went back to his room and slept.
Soon the sun rise, it was a bright morning. White clouds were floating in
the sky. The chirping of birds let us awoke. The house in the charming rays
of sun was looking more beautiful. We come down the stairs in the hall where
the siblings and Inspector Smith were sitting. ‘Good Morning’ siblings greet
us. The postmortem report has been come. Dylan unfolds the paper and read it
thoroughly. ‘I knew it’ exclaimed Dylan. ‘What is it?’ we asked impatiently.
‘Can you tell me Mr. Hewitt was right or left handed’ asked Dylan from
siblings. ‘He was left handed’ Abira answered. ‘The report says that the
veins of left hand was cut, enlighten Dylan, but as you says that he was a
left handed so how can he cut his left hand’. ‘Fascinating’, said Inspector.
‘And the report further said that cyanide which is a powerful poison was
present in the body of Mr. Hewitt, continued Dylan, so simply it is a murder
not a suicide and to show this murder as a suicide the killer cuts the veins
of let hand of Mr. Hewitt after killing him by cyanide forgetting that he
was left handed.’ ‘Genius man’ clapped Inspector Smith. ‘So who is the
killer’ asked Abira confusingly. ‘Well, this is what we have to solve’ Dylan
responded. ‘Oh my goodness, are you really a detective, Ethan sarcastic, I
just want to be sure, huh’ By completing his entire line he rushed to his
room upstairs with heavy feet on ground. His footsteps echoed on the wooden
floor. ‘I am sorry of his ill-mannered conduction, he was always too
stubborn and possessive, said Abira, and this incident has influenced him
too much’. ‘We can understand’ said Marie.
Boom, Boom, a long greenish car up roared and entered into the Mansion
Royale. A 47 years aged woman with short blonde hairs and long sharp cloves
with a man came out of the car. They are Elisa and Hudson, Elder daughter of
Mr. Hewitt. ‘Oh my, this house is looking more beautiful, I love it’ said
Elisa. ‘What do you want?’ aroused Eliphaz. ‘My part of the manor, I am also
the daughter of Mr. Hewitt so it’s my right to have the property of Mr.
Hewitt.’ said Elisa having a devilish grin on her face. ‘But we have not
found the will yet’ said Inspector. ‘Well, that’s your problem, told Hudson,
we are arranging a big party tonight after all the tremendous French manor,
Mansion Royale is going to divide’. ‘Where’s our room, I am exhausted’
exclaimed Elisa. ‘Come dear I know’ said Hudson and moved upstairs. The
talking style of the couple was suspicious.
Then, the arrangements for the party began. I and Dylan moved to the party
hall where Hudson was. ‘Hey, what you people are doing here, whatsoever
don’t interfere in our family matters, warned Hudson, and if you have any
self respect so leave’. ‘This was your family matter till the death was
considered as a suicide but it is now a murder and this is our job and we
will do our best to reveal the truth’ exclaimed Dylan. Soon, the sun drowns
and the moon appears, it was time of dusk. The party guest arrived on time.
The noise and the songs echoed the manor. Dylan told me and Marie to attend
the party and look the situation there, so I and Marie were in the hall. It
was the best time to investigate, so Dylan began to look the manor. When he
reached the back side of the manor, there was a spacious artificial lake.
Abira was sitting there. ‘What’s the matter? Asked Dylan, why are you
sitting alone here?’ ‘I wish all the happiness of this house came back,
cried Abira, we spend six years here but this year is very perilous’. ‘What
do you want to say? Said Dylan, tell me all the suspicious things you
noticed this year please.’ ‘Before the father’s death, a French property
Dealer Company meets Eliphaz, they want us to sell the house but we refused,
after that we noticed some strange things happening here. Told Abira, Every
day little things were stolen, but all the things which were stolen were not
so costly. One day paranormal voices were echoed, and most of our servants
left their jobs by saying that this house is haunted. Once a French family
lived here but after their elder brother’s death they left the manor leaving
all their treasure in the house’s basement. It is said that a ghost is the
guard of the treasure and who ever try to steal it the ghost will kill him’.
‘So have you people ever visited the basement?’ asked Dylan. ‘No, father has
the keys of the basement and he never gave us, answered Abira, he afraid
that the ghost really exists’.
Abruptly, the voice of people shrieks and screams intrepid Dylan. He ran to
the hall from where the screams were coming. Everyone was so afraid and
rushing to the exit. Dylan asked me that what happened?. I replied that the
lights got out and a strange ghostly voice was echoed which warned all
people to leave the manor otherwise they will be killed. All the people ran
away the manor. Eliphaz said us to leave too but we forbade. Dylan and we
went to the Mr. Hewitt’s room. There was nothing strange. Dylan looked at
the curtain and he found a hair at the back side of it. ‘We should send it
for the DNA test’ suggested Marie. ‘Yes, you are right’ replied Dylan. After
that we moved to our rooms.
We woke up and came down stairs. At the road which leads to the house was
crowded. We see that a person is dead. The person was the Charlie, the
servant. This was the second murder of the house. The situations were going
out of our hand. We were so confused. When we returned the manor a tall man
wearing a black long coat was sitting. ‘Come here join us, said Eliphaz to
us, he is Mr. Alf Taylor, a very close friend of our father and his business
partner as well. ‘When I heard about the death of James I was astonished,
said Mr. Alf wiping his tears, but unfortunately I was in New York’. His son
Carl Taylor was also there. He was young, arrogant and was looking cunning.
‘Have you solved the case’ aroused Mr. Alf. ‘Not yet, but the killer is not
so far, don’t worry we will find him; just we want two more days’ recounted
Dylan. We left and were going to our room that a big door gained our
attention we tried to open it but it was locked. ‘Stop, shouted Eliphaz, it
is the basement, it is locked’. ‘Do really there is treasure down here? I
asked. ‘Probably’ answered Eliphaz. Then, Inspector Smith arrived and said,
I don’t find any Mr. Hewitt’s will, I have checked whole room. Dylan and we
moved to Mr. Hewitt room where we find a laptop. It belongs to Mr. Hewitt.
We start it and log in to Mr. Hewitt account where many unknown messages
were sent. ‘Leave the house otherwise we will kill you’ Marie read one of
them message. In the every message end there was a vector sign of a rooster.
This was another clue for us. We went to the laboratory where we have sent
that hair which we got in Mr. Hewitt’s room. After, reading the report we
came to know that this hair belongs to Hudson. This means that Hudson have
searched the room for a specific thing. We returned home. Carl was there
with a person. ‘Who he is, I asked. ‘He is a friend of mine, said Carl; he
works in Matte drugs factory’. ‘So, what is he doing here?’ I asked again.
‘He just wanted to see the manor that’s it’ replied Carl, and listen Dad has
called you people at our house for an eve tea’.
We reached Mr. Taylor’s house, the servant guide us to the room. The fire
was burning brightly in the fireplace. Mr. Alf wearing a long black coat,
sucking a cheroot was sitting on his sofa. ‘Please have a seat’ said Mr.
Alf. ‘How you people can detect it that the death was a murder, Mr. Hewitt
has committed suicide you know’ he continued. ‘Are you sure?’ Dylan asked.
‘Of course, he was my best friend and I know him better. The pressure of
French company and the rumors of the treasure made him depressed and at last
to get rid of this depression he committed suicide’. The servant served tea.
Dylan stood and started to look the book shelf there. ‘Are you an author as
well? Dylan asked. ‘Yes, I have much skilled hands’ replied Mr. Alf. We came
out the house; a big car was parked there. ‘Wow, I exclaimed. So, after this
we move back to Mansion Royale.
Only one day was left and the mystery has not yet solved. On the second’s
day morning we investigate the garden where we found an empty bottle of
cyanide which has a company label of Matte medicine factory and it looks
that the bottle was thrown from the window of Mr. Hewitt’s room. We went
near to the building where we look a water spout which was close to the
window. Dylan easily climbed up to the room with the help of the spout.
‘Alas, I have found the murderer, said Dylan, what we have to do now is to
look in the basement is really there is a treasure or it is a rumor’. We
asked Abira for the keys but she said that she have not any idea about the
keys. ‘We should ask from Elisa’ she suggested.
We entered in Elisa’s room. She was not there. ‘Let check the room’ I said.
We searched every drawer and cupboards where we find a folded paper which
was the will of Mr. James Hewitt. When we read the will there was no part of
manor for Elisa and Hudson. We understand the mystery. We said to the
Eliphaz to announce in the Maison Royale and we will reveal the mystery
tomorrow’s morning. We move to the back side of the manor where we see a
ventilation pipe to the basement. I smiled with a cunning face and looked to
the Dylan. ‘Are you thinking what I am thinking? I asked to Dylan. He nodded
in positive.
It was the third morning. We have solved the mystery. Now, it’s time to
reveal it. All the family members including Mr. Taylor and his son were
there. Everyone was staring at us. We said to the Dylan to tell the truth.
‘We have found the murderer, said Dylan, and he is sitting among us. So, the
murderer of Mr. Hewitt and the happiness of the manor are…… Alf Taylor and
his son’. All house members started glancing at Mr. Alf. ‘This is a lie’
shouted Alf. ‘Stop that let me, clear Dylan said, Mr. Alf was an envy of Mr.
Hewitt since childhood. Mr. Hewitt was now much better settled than him.
Then, Mr. Alf started burning in the fire of rage and jealousy of Mr.
Hewitt’s stride. He held fake French property dealers to force the Hewitt
Family to leave the house but it does not work. Then, he started the rumors
of paranormal activities and the treasure at basement of the manor but this
idea was also not successful. He also sent unknown messages to Mr. Hewitt in
which he warned him. In every message end there was a sign of rooster and
when we visit his house, I read some of his books in which in the end of
every book was the same sigh of rooster we found in the messages. Finally,
he decided to kill Mr. Hewitt. Carl’s Friend works in a medicine company and
when we found the bottle of poison same label of company was there which
means that Carl got the cyanide form his friend and then they gave money to
Thomson the servant to mix the poison in the milk of Mr. Hewitt. After, Mr.
Hewitt was dead, Carl visit the room. He climbed up with the help of spout
and threw the poison bottle out the window in the garden. To show this
murder as a suicide he cut the veins of the left hand of Mr. Hewitt as he
doesn’t know that Mr. Hewitt was left handed. In the fright of being caught
Thomson was scared so, Carl killed him by hitting him by his car as we found
the same mud on the wheels of Mr. Alf’s car which was on the body of Thomson
and Mr. Alf ‘s servant told me that he was in Italy during the crime .
Everyone was so disappointed. ‘We always gave you the same value which we
gave to our father, but what have you done’ cried Eliphaz. ‘And one more
thing, we found Mr. Hewitt’s will in the room of Elisa and Hudson in which
there was no part for them, said Dylan, So, on the second day of murder,
Hudson visited there to find out the will. He found it and escape. When I
investigate the room I found a hair of Hudson which proves that he has
visited the room after murder. They think that they can get a part of
Mansion Royale by stealing the will’. Police arrested Mr. Alf Taylor and
Carl Taylor in the case of murder. Hudson was arrested in the crime of
stealing the will. Mansion Royale now returns to the happiness and laughter
all around. Now, Its time leave the house. Inspector Smith was there who
greet us on our success. We packed our stuff and move downstairs. ‘Wait,
said Abira, Thank you’. ‘This was our duty’ said Dylan. She gave us a
bouquet of red and black roses. We say Good bye to all family members. At
last, we have solved the mystery of the Mansion Royale__ the Great French
Manor.
