Cyber harassment is a form of bulling or harassment using electronic means it is also known as online bulling.it has become increasingly common especially among teenagers as the digital sphere has expanded and technology has advanced .cyber bulling is take place over digital devices like cell phone,computers and tablets.it can be occur through sms,text,and apps or online in social media where people can view,participate or share content.cyber bulling includes sending,posting,or sharing negative ,harmful ,false or mean content about someone else .it can include sharing personal or private information about someone causing embarassment or humiliation some places where it occurs are:
1-social Media,such as face book,instagram,snapchat and tiktok.
2-text messaging and messeging app.
3-instant messaging ,direct messaging and online chatting over internet .
4-online forums,chat rooms,and message boards such as reed it.
5-E-mail
6-online gaming communities.
*what to do if you are a victim of cyber harassment :
1-keep all evidence :it is important to keep all evidence of the bullying messages ,post ,comments etc.
2-obtain assistance :if you are being cyber bullied on face book contact them.if you are recieving hurtful or threatning cell phone messages contact your cell phone company .
3-do not respond: don't respond to the cyber bully except to calmly tell them to stop,if they refuse you may have to take additional action .
4-seek help from law enforcement :online cyber harassment can be extremely traumatic for a target may require legal intervention so seek help from law enforcement or a lawyer.
5-keep in mind that you are not alone;if you are target of online cyber harassment so you are not alone reaching out others for support can go a long way in taking care of your mental health .
