Netflix or Amazon Prime Who is the King?

Let’s go back into the past 20 years its 90’s Saturday night and you want to watch a blockbuster movie with your friends or family members what would you do? Yes, you would rent a VHS from blockbuster, you will be happy. But now as time passes by technology took over the world and eventually, the entertainment industry also came under and it has evolved drastically over the last few years owing to the streaming websites or services known as Netflix and Amazon Prime allowing fans of movies and series to adore their favorite content. Since the birth of these services, fans are divided into groups, some love Netflix, and some cherish Amazon Prime.

Content: Now, if we take a closer look at both of these they are somehow similar but the content is the main thing that makes them rival. Both Netflix and amazon prime video has more than their fair share of content. In Netflix, stranger things, dark, orange is the new black and house of cards to name just a few of its original. While on Amazon Prime, you get the boys, transparent, Mr. Robot, American gods, and many more, making them different from Netflix. But when it comes to movies Netflix slightly got an upper hand, it provides a constantly changing selection of oldies, current releases, and even unique independent films. Amazon Prime Video has a comparable collection, although it focuses on TV series rather than movies. It's worth noting that, even if you have a Prime subscription, you must pay to see select movies on Prime Video.

Better Plan: Another major difference between these two is the membership plan amazon offers Amazon Prime membership. But you can opt to purchase a standalone membership for 8.99 dollars/mo. Whereas Netflix offers three different plans, basic (8.99 dollars/mo.), standard (13.99 dollars/mo.), and premium in which you can enjoy 4k ultra HD resolution with only (17.99 dollars/mo.). Netflix also offers 4k ultra HD while Amazon only gives you a Standard HD Screen.

Personalization: You may personalize up to five profiles on a single Netflix account. Each profile can have its own set of parental restrictions. You may also limit your viewing choices by needing a specific code to access certain sorts of information. Creating profiles for Amazon Prime Video is a little trickier. If you are a Prime member, you may link your subscription to your significant other's. You may share your digital library and wallet with Amazon Household.

Features: one thing amazon lacks is the features, Amazon does not have DVR storage like Sling Tv. Rather you can download videos of your choices. On the other hand, Netflix also shares the same story it doesn’t have DVR storage either but you can download shows and movies for offline viewing. Netflix allows you to stream on multiple devices simultaneously, depending on your plan. You can only stream one device at a time with the Basic subscription. The Standard package has two streams, while the Premium package includes four. You can stream up to three videos at once with Amazon Prime Video, but you can only watch one title on two devices at the same time.

Conclusion: in the end, Netflix and Amazon both are the best VOD services right now in the whole world. Netflix had 207.64 million paid subscribers worldwide as of 2021. At the same time, amazon prime video came to cross to Netflix with over 200 million subscribers worldwide. People admire them both but the cheaper you are most customers you will get. Amazon prime video is an amazing service and it does keep customers away from buying expensive Netflix offers but on the other hand, people who do not want to compromise on the content will definitely love Netflix. The choice is subjective here. The war is ON!
