DOGS’ KILLING CAMPAIGN; AN URGENT NEED!
(Hafiz Muhammad Noman, Karachi)
Recently it has been observed
that dogs’ biting incidents in abundance have taken place all over Karachi. On
the other hand dogs’ increasing growth have worried the people a lot as they are
afraid to go outside homes lest a dog should bite them! Wherever we go, we find
wandering dogs in shape of gangs here and there! And it is a natural phenomenon
when two or more dogs get together; they certainly become lions and attack every
body without any fear whereas one or two dogs can easily be routed by pelting
stones! But a mad dog never retreats by any stones and attacks the public at any
cost!
It is noticeable that various dogs are found injured! Either their heads are
cracked or their body skins are damaged! Due to injury on heads, definitely dogs
usually become rabid or mad which is an extreme condition for public to face
during their journey outside their homes! No place today is saved even dogs are
wandering outside schools, mosques, shops or markets and offices etc.
Previously governments have been arranging dogs’ killing campaigns to cope with
rabid dogs that used to be danger for public. Today the public is facing the
same situation and demands the present government to arrange dogs’ killing
campaign that is an inevitable and urgent need to save the public! Hence, in
this regard, the government must realize its responsibility and take some good
initiatives to deal with the worsening situation day by day!
