Muslims-once a might
(Shaheer Ullah Khan, Kharian)
Islam was revealed on Hazrat
Muhammad (S.A.A.W). The Holy Quran was also revealed as the last and perfect
book of guidance to mankind. Allah ordered His last Messenger (S.A.A.W) to
spread the religion and call the people to the right path. Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.A.W)
was the last of 124,000 messengers sent by Al-Mighty Allah for the guidance of
mankind.
During the initial days of Islam, a lot of persecution had to faced. There were
many hindrances laid by the pagans of Makkah and the Jews. The Christians also
opposed this religion of truth. But Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.A.W) and his companions
by the Grace of Allah didn’t loose steadfastness and Islam was greatly spread.
A time came when the Muslims lead each and every aspect of this worldly life.
Let them be military, economic strength, scientific revolution, educational
reforms and administration methods. At the peak of success the Islamic empire
spread from Arabia to Eastern Europe. The Islamic naval fleet dominated the
water. We were the super power of the world. Our references of those golden days
are practiced by the world today. It was Hazrat Umar (R.A) who introduced the
world’s first formal postal service. It during his era that the pension system
was established.
Muslim scientists gave the bases of various modern laws and theories. They
included Ibn-e-Sina, Jabir-bin-Hayyan, Abdu –ur- Rehman Ibn Khuldoon and many
others. The Islamic world has the honor of having the world’s first surgeon,
Qasim Al-Zuhrawi.
Algebra a vital part of mathematics was introduced by the Muslims. Astronomical
advancement and research in field of geography was also done by the efforts of
Muslims. It was a Muslim scientist who for the first time discovered the human
blood circularly system, Ibn Al- Nafis.
Muslims used to have one of the finest siege engineers in the field of military
development. Muslim army was famous for its tactically strong and strategically
fantastic ways of fighting in the battle field. Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.A.W) is
regarded as a general of such wonderful capabilities that no one as ever been
parallel to him. All his techniques used 1400 years back are evident in today’s
modern warfare.
Unfortunately once the rulers of the world, the Muslims, are today facing really
difficult problems. They have to face oppression from various nations. They are
blamed for disturbing peace of the world. We no longer hold an edge in the field
of science. Our fleets no longer dominate the waters. The Muslims aren’t
considered as authority in the field of science. Today Muslim students go the
non-muslim countries for better education, instead of vice versa.
Why did the Muslims see such a drastic down fall? When we saw the peak of
success, we forgot our religion. Today, look at the condition of Muslims. How
many pray regularly? How many full fill the obligations. Moral ethics are being
destroyed on the excuse of modernism. The dress code is being violated and much
more. Muslim countries lack unity. They don’t stand together on various issues,
which render the Muslims as a whole, a weak nation. The organization of Islamic
conference is present, as a forum for the Muslim states, but we all are well
aware of its effectiveness.
In order to revive the former strength of the Islamic nation, we need to came
back to the following of the world’s best religion i.e. Islam and keep ourselves
united.
