RECENTLY watching news on a TV
channel, I was shocked to see rampant cheating by youngsters in the recent
matriculation board examinations. Cheating in examinations is spreading like an
epidemic and if not controlled will ruin the career of upcoming generations.
If the situation continues, we will witness in the near future a large
population of ‘literate illiterates’.
Although centers where examinations are held are primarily responsible for
maintaining discipline, I would suggest that it is the parents’ duty to ensure
that the children understand their responsibility and clear the examinations
with their own efforts.
This will give them a level of higher satisfaction in their lives.
