HAPPINESS

(Urooj Qasim, Karachi)

We all spend our lives searching for happiness. But do we really know what happiness is? And what actually we are looking for? No we don’t know! We will never have an exact answer. Let’s stop here for 15 seconds and think what we want most in life? Everyone would have different answer of this question. But everyone’s approach would be similar. Because we human being find our happiness in tangible goods as lavish home and an expensive car. We really work hard to achieve these things. Basically we don’t work hard to achieve these expensive goods but we work hard to get happiness. Because we think we would get happiness once we get our desire fulfilled. If we bound our happiness and search them in these tangible goods then we would never be able to live a happy life. We can never satisfy our desires fully. Actually we don’t know the meaning of happiness. Once we get the meaning of happiness we would have more and more happiness. Let’s have a simple example of a job seeker who searches a job day and night and bound his happiness with it. He thinks that now he can’t live happily because he is jobless. He starts living depressed and once he get the job he feels that now he is the happiest person.

This is not true!

We run after an ideal life and wonder why we are not happy? The answer is that an ideal life only stays in our minds and dreams. Happiness is very beautiful and free of cost. Why are we associating it with money? This thinking of today’s people makes their life worse. We need to search happiness in small and real things. If we look around ourselves, we would observe that human beings are unhappy and animals are happier than human beings.
Think about it!
Live happily is every individual right
