Education Policy in Pakistan

(amna ali, lahore)

I survey different institutions including private and government institutions. If you take a look you will come to know the real difference between both of them. Now, the question is if the education system is same or if the syllabus in both private and government institution is same then why there is a huge difference between both of them? Why there is a standard issue in private institutions just to make government institutions a victim of inferiority and when the education policy is same then why there are so many differences in the environment of both is it all about standards and statuses? Why there is English and Urdu medium system in Pakistan? Why there is matriculation and A-O LEVELS system in Pakistan? If our national language is same then why in KPK we teach Pashto, in Punjab it is Punjabi, in Sindh it is Sindhi and in Baluchistan Balochi? Yes I know, these are the local languages and we as a Pakistani should promote them but our first priority should be Urdu as it is our national language. Don’t you think that we should look at least one time but look once on the education policy? Why our government is not taking proper steps for the system and policies in Pakistan? We are future of this nation and if the future will not built properly the nation will always be a victim.

Private schools are taking more fees and facilitate the students but according to the law of equality every citizen should be treated equally and properly. Then why there is no right of government institutes students to be facilitated by the institutions? Don’t they have a right of facilities? When we are one nation why there are so many differences between us? Why there are so many disputes and discrimination. Sir Syed aimed khan promote one language. He made one policy for all the Muslims. He stopped them from participating in all the political activities and taught Muslims of the subcontinent to read and right. This shows the importance of education. The founder and the first president of the republic of turkey Mustafa Kemal promote one language and made Turks one nation. The founding father of the People’s Republic of China Mao Tung promotes one language in china which is chines that is the reason they never learned English but Americans are learning Chinese. This is the power of one language. When we talk with a private sector student and a government sector student even if we talk with a student of Sindhi school and a student of Punjabi school there mind set is entirely different. Why is this only in Pakistan? We should promote local languages but our main focus and first priority should be on Urdu. We should promote one education policy in Pakistan for the betterment of our future.
