Incredible Nation!

What happened on 16th December
2014 was a great tragedy. That day has already been written in history but what
impact has that incident left on students?
After that incident, there is more security in schools, evacuation plans have
been set up, guards have been hired. But still the fear of school is still in
the minds of little ones. The fear increases everyday when they set foot in
their school and gradually decreases when the period bell rings.
After the attack my first day in school was terrifying. My mother recited prayer
that my brothers and I return home safely. The only topic we talked about in
school was about the attack and how we were laughing and cracking jokes when
exactly at the same time the army public school was invaded by terrorist.
Assembly in our school only takes place on Tuesday, but that day our
headmistress announced that we will have full assembly. She asked us for two
minutes silence to pray for the students, their parents and the school staff.
But that 2 minutes silence felt like 2 hours silence.
When we got back to our class, during studying there was a new feeling in the
class … FEAR. The thought just came in my mind WHAT IF our school is next, what
if we get attacked by the terrorist? When the school was finally off, my friend
exclaimed, “Shukr Allah ka, at least we are safe for one day.” The thing I
realized was that every day of our school will be of fear, of anxiety and
despair.
But the amazing thing was each and every class was full, there were no absent
students. Although the school has begun to be a terrifying place but still we
have the courage to be there and become someone who would take revenge on the
terrorists. I want to salute the parents who sent their children to school
knowing there would be danger but believing in Allah سبحانہ وتعالی who is the
only Protector.
Watching the news and looking at the beautiful and carefree faces of students
was a heart breaking moment.
The question arose in my mind … why is there a need to study when we are going
to die like this? My parents answered that it is exactly what the terrorists
want us to do … to stop studying, to stop going to school. The students and the
teachers were brutally killed while they were studying and teaching.
The moral is that I should study hard not only for myself, not only for my
parents or family but for our country and the people who sacrificed for it.
Mein aisi qoum se hon
Jis kay woh bachon se dartay hain
Baray dushman banay phirtay hain
Jo bachchon say lartay hain
They attacked us with guns
We will attack with pens
They attacked on our backs
We will attack from front
