Spread Peace In Karachi; a public service message to all Karachiite

(Erum Habib, Karachi)

Life in Karachi has charm and attraction but it has its own peculiar problems too. The city is never quiet and throbs with life all through the day, all are extremely busy. They have no time to stand and stare, and old values has come to decline Along with outright injustice, political violence, discrimination and marginalization are common forms of intolerance. Karachi is home to between 14-21 million people, it has also become wracked with lawlessness and crime.

"We're one, we're one nation and above all, we all are believer of one God."

If we are seeking for a peaceful life then changes are very important. Changes must be positive. If we will go for negative ones then they will obviously have a negative impact upon our lives. Endeavours to build tolerance through education will not succeed until they reach all age groups, and take place everywhere, in school hate-mongers often begin by identifying the public's tolerance threshold. The most efficient way to limit the influence of hate-mongers is to develop policies that generate unity among all Karachiites. We should not waste our time thinking about past problems, we must have focus on our present. We are all part of the solution. A culture of peace will be achieved when citizens of the Karachi understand individual problems, have the skills to resolve conflicts, struggle for justice, appreciate culture and respect each other.

"It's not that some people have willpower and some don't. It's that some people are ready to change and others are not."

Adults can help children understand the importance of treating all people with dignity and not judging groups of people by the actions of a few. They should encourage children to explore their feelings about injustice, prejudice, and hate. Doing so is not only critical to preventing further harm, and love for humanity.

Scientifically, culture is the habitat where different species of animal lead their lives with a high degree of interdependence. In this culture some animals are powerful while others are weak, stronger animal dominant the weaker one’s and ultimately they swallow the weaker animal’s because animal have no knowledge and wisdom. But an animal, which has knowledge and wisdom, this animal is human being. This animal uses different tools and ways to disgrace weaker section of the community; kill them, abuse them, scold them, laugh at them, make fun of them and ultimately deprives them from their native right. As far as helping is concerned, it's a part of healing process. We should heal the weak in order to zeal the nation.

Now we should be care about the norms and values of the society and we should work together for the sake of these. I am confident that by concerted effort and determination, we shall lay the foundations for peace and tolerance in Karachi.

"Only I can change my life. No one can do it for me; in the same way, only we can change our city. No other nation can do it for us."
