The Great Socrates

Socrates (469/470-399 BCE) was
born and live whole life in Athens. As we know about him a lot, he was the great
Greek philosopher and is considered the father of western philosophy ; but do
you know he is also a great counselor, in the era of Socrates people were
divided in a manner of poverty and richness everyone was very conscious about
their status, but all alone Socrates was alone who benevolent with poor people
and counselor them; for this act Socrates was always worn by King, but Socrates
was Socrates he always stand as a buffer for poor people, although astonishing
facts about Socrates; he is very submissive of law, people were used to worship
of king; Socrates was also worship of king and never deny to do, but his
Clairvoyance;
“There is someone who looks after everything; but we can’t see him”
this kind of thoughts play vital role to made him distinct from others, as such
king don’t likes him anyway, he thinks Socrates is Counterfeiter; who teaches
lower middle class and makes them unite against king and they will destroy his
honor ship, kingdom and everything he will lose his powers etc; this troublesome
situation made him very distressed; so he took his decision.
King offered Socrates leave Athens because according to him Socrates were guilty
of corrupting the minds of the youth of Athens; and if he’ll not with this
decision , so he will be sentenced to death by drinking a mixture containing
poison Hemlock. Socrates was very genuine person he believed what he said and
educate, so he deny to leave Athens but accept death by drinking poison hemlock;
because if he accept deportation, it would be failure of his thoughts and
education.
In the last day of his life before drinking hemlock he delivered an admired able
speech, some of wording are listed below;
“I have never lived an ordinary quiet life.”
“I tried to persuade each one of you not to think more of practical advantages
than of his mental and moral well-being.”
“The difficulty is not so much to escape death; the real difficulty is to escape
from doing wrong”
At the end drink hemlock and died, but he did not die his breath left the body,
he is still alive by his thoughts.
Socrates was great philosopher but himself he were not used to write his
thoughts ideas in a proper manner so his students Plato ,Xenophon and Aristotle
are the main sources of historical Socrates; who conveyed his valued thoughts to
us.
